Kirby is not feeling well. He has been sitting in the litter box, a lot but nothing seems to be happening. He is also purring constantly. That may not sound strange, but he never purrs! He is going to see Dr. Hector in a little while. He is still eating and drinking and chasing Angel but 4 times in the box in 30 minutes seems excessive. Then after he leaves the box, he is licking himself.

We may be off line for a few days. Mom has to go check on her Mom. She is in the hospital and is very depressed. They got her past the Pneumonia but she does not want to eat. She had a very tiny heart attack but it did not cause any damage. Mom needs to go and relieve her sister so she can get some rest.

It sounds like Kirby has the same thing as Gandalf. FLUTD. Crystals in the urine that block his urethra. It is no fun. Gandalf has been on prescription food since his diagnosis. Mom was thrilled last week to find a store brand that saves her $1 a can! That is a lot, when you multiply that by 3 male cats!

Crystals or maybe just a UTI. I hope it's not major and he feels better and can pee soon. Our paws are crossed for him and for your Grandmom, too...

Lots of worries for your mewmie there...hope everyone feels better soon. Oh, and purring releases endorphins that help a cat feel better, calmer and less anxious, too.

We are sending lots of purrs and prayers to both Kirby and your mom - we hope Kirby is ok and we hope that your mom can help her mom feel better. We know she is probably stressed out and adding Kirby in doesn't help. We hope it is something that is simple to take care of and that he is home quickly!

We hope Kirby soon feels better. When I was younger, I got cystitis 2 or 3 times and that is exactly what I used to do. I had antibiotics to clear it up.

I'm sorry to hear about all these troubles in your family. When an elderly patient becomes depressed, they often lose the will to live. I sure hope she gets the right treatment to help her.

I also hope that there's nothing very much wrong with Kirby. Hopefully, there's a simple solution.

Take care.

Oh dear we send our purrs and prayers! We hope that Kirby is ok. Sandusky used to do that when he had urinary blockage! It happened a several times over a couple of years. He had to stay at the vet and had to have a tube. The vet kept changing his diet. Now he is on WD and hasn't had anymore problems recently. What did the vet say?

Also, we hope your mom's mom is doing ok.

The Kitty Krew
