Fun and games

Angel: Dad took the Grand Boys to the main event to bowl! And play games! Mom joined them and had to be a spoiled sport and made them go home.

Mom: It was 10 p.m. and their Mom might be wondering if she knew where her children were!

Kirby: Whatever! They were having so much fun. Mom even let them sleep in today!

Mom: OK, you two. Keep telling off on me!

Angel: Since they had so much fun playing with balls, Mom let us play with the paw breakers this morning. Kirby always wants the one I have and he starts a rasseling match for it. Mom could not get a picture of me, so Kirby got a time out in the bath room. It was not long, just long enough for that darn flashy box to catch me.

I am sitting on teh Boogie Mat with my ball. You can see the new WII box under the table.

Kirby: I was playing in the kitchen floor and rolling all over!

Mom made it home

Mom and Dad made it home Monday morning around 1. And they had a big surprise. They did not bring any of the puppies or Shadow home, but they did bring two big guys home. Mom told us they were the oldest grandsons, 15 and 17. We ran and hid!

Kirby: This morning, I came out of hiding and met the oldest. He is Shadows pet! I could smell Shadow on his cloths, so I knew he was a good boy! I have been playing with him.

Angel: I finally came out after lunch. I like that guy too. I am still a little leary of the other one, though!

Kirby: Angel is just a scaredy cat! Both the big guys are great. They just want to get to know us!
I got so comfortable Mom was able to get theses two pictures!

This is the pillow my new friend slept on!

Mom said this is Toesies and Tummy Tuesday!

Our green quilt

We have talked about the green quilt and wanted Mom to tell it's story. When she started making it Wizard was with her. He loved to help her. He sat on each piece as she tried to cut it out or sew it. He really loved the fabrics in this quilt. It has jungle animals on it. While she was quilting it, she kept having to move him cause you cant free motion quilt with 15 pounds of fur laying on it!

When the quilt was finished, she laid it on the bed to take pictures of it. He laid in the middle of it. Dad had to hold him for her to get a picture. She did get pictures of him on it, but it was before her digital days and she cant find the pictures!

Then she turned it over to take a picture of the back, again he was on it. After she took the picture, he laid down and went to sleep. When she removed it he followed her and laid on it folded up. Mom got the message very quickly that he wanted to lay on it. She put it back on the bed, top up. He pawed at it till ha had it turned over, back up. It has animal buttons on the front and he did not like those! It has been on the foot Mom's bed ever since.

When Angel came to to live at the house, Wizard must have told her it was OK to sleep on the bed if she was on the quilt. She sleeps there every night but will not sleep any where but on the quilt. She in turn has taught Kirby the quilt/bed rule!

What are you into now

I am raising a two year old! Kirby has been into anything and every thing! He gets into shelves, on cabinets, in cabinets ans on any surface he wants! I have cleaned up more messes that he has created than I can count. Do they ever grow up? Do they get out of this 'let me see what this is' stage? The following picture trail says it all! Please over look the 'junk' ans finger prints in the background!

Cabinet door open. the drawer above is usually open, too!

Head and foot in cabinet!

Totally in cabinet!

I missed the best one. He turned around and looked at me and jumper out. Bang! A pan lid followed!

We are going to be out of town this coming weekend. Will I have a house to come back to?

Easy (lazy) Sunday afternoon

Mom is late posting, again! We are just being lazy, like her! We were laying in the floor in front of her and all she could reach was her cell phone. That is why she loaded two! Angel is in front and Kirby is 'close' behind.

Friday, April 17, 2009

Finally Friday

Angel: I was a real basket case after the bee issue.

Kirby: Me too!

Have a good weekend!

What are you palying with

Mom: Tuesday afternoon, I could see the kitties in another room playing. One would jump off the ottoman and the other would jump up. The one in the floor would tentatively paw at something.

Conversation between then as they changed places:
Angel: What is it?
Kirby: I don't know.
Angel: It moves!
Kirby: Get it!
Angel: no you get it!
Kirby: No, you are the oldest, you get it.
Angel: But you are almost a mancat. you get it!
Mom: What are you two playing with?
Both: Nothing!
Mom: Let me see! OH, what is that buzzing noise!. It is a honey bee.
Kirby: Look Mom! the whole window is full of them. Can I whomp them?

We has a bee swarm in our attic and they were finding their way in the house. I garbed Kirby cause he was closer and locked him in the bathroom. Then I called Angel to out into the hall and shut the door. After calling Dad, I checked outside, the bees were flying all around the eaves! I called the only bee keeper in the phone book and had to leave a message. Dad got home and we turned the air conditioner on and put on sweaters. The bee keeper called back an hour and a half later. She would send some one out on Wednesday. The bees do not like the cold and were starving because there was no 'food' for them in the room. We vacuumed them up and emptied them in the garbage can. We counted at least 30 in the house. The bee keeper sprayed the eaves but only a few came out. He thinks we ran them off by making the house cold.

Sorry, we did not get any pictures cause we were in reaction mode.

Easy Sunday

Kirby: We had a rough night last night. I got cold ans ask Mom to cover me with the green quilt. She did, but it was not enough. I walked up the bed and ask to go under the covers. Mom let me. I ran all the way to her feet and stopped And sneezed.

Mom: Thank you very much! It was a very wet sneeze right between my toes!

Kirby: When Mom did not appreciate that, I ran back out.

Mom: I caught them snuggling on the green quilt twice last nighe and once the night before! We are so happy about this.

After the sneeze, Kirby went up on the window sill for storm watch. They rolled over us from 4 a.m. till 6:30 a.m. and he sat in the window the whole time.

Kirby: I watched the flashy lights and listened to the booms! I was not scared at all.

Angel: I had an important job too! I sat on the head of the bed and watched Mom and Dad to make sure they slept through the storm.

Mom: This morning, I found them on the ottoman cuddled up, again. Angel on the left and Kirby on the right. This was taken around noon time. Mom did not turn on the light in t he room and you can see that it looked dark outside, so we had to turn on the lasers to tell her to go away!

Dad is feeling better. Two days of resting helped. The storms cleared the smoke from the air but it is cool today, so still no open windows! The wild fires are all under control, unless the storms sparked more. One of the fires stopped about a mile from our Grand Mothers farm. We were very thankful to hear that!

Happy Easter!

Friday, April 10, 2009

Finally Friday

Dad has the day off! Mom and Dad were going to see Grandmother, but Dad is not feeling well. Mom does not want to take any illness to her 87 year old Mom so they are staying home. We can not have the windows open cause there are wild fires several hundred miles west of us, but the wind is bring the smoke to us. It is not as bad to day as yesterday, but it still makes Mom sneeze and cough.

Mom had one Dutch Iris bloom. She is glad but also sad cause she use to have dozens of these.

She has one Rose blooming. The bush is loaded in bud and we should have more pictures nest week. Mom and Dad wrapped the bush in sheets one night this week so the baby buds would not freeze!

Kirby decided it was time to play. He found this PJ string and came running down the hall with it in his teeth and trailing after him. Mom was disappointed that she did not get a picture of him carrying it!

Thursday, April 9, 2009

We got a package

Angel: We got a package. Mom set it in the floor and we did not even look at it!

Mom: I had to spray a little Nip on it to get any interest!

Angel: What is in it?

Kirby: Open it Mom! We want to see!

Angel: Look! It is our prize from Samantha and Mr Tigger!

Kirby: OH, Where we won their 50000 Visitor Contest!

Angel: Look what all is in it!

Kirby: Cat stickers, a Bowl, A cat plaque, a post card and TOYS!

Angel: Look at the cool plaque!

Kirby: It is all cool! But the TOYS and these white things are the most fun!

Mom: Kirby had packing peanuts all over him! He rolled in them. These guys are so funny! They ignored their package but when I got one for a convention that can not be opened till the 16th they have been all over it!

OK, kids, don't forget your manners!

Angel and Kirby: Thanks Samantha, Mr Tigger, Maverick and your Mom! We really like our prizes!

Easy like Sunday

Angel: Mom came home yesterday from playing Girl Scouts and she was red in the face! She said she did not remember that canoes and kayaks were so heavy! She had a hard time getting out of bed this morning but she is not quite as red. Dad said she had too much sun and wind. Whatever!

Today, Dad got up in the attic. He was looking for a bug that is making spots on the ceiling! We should hear him ans kept talking to him, but he could not hear us! Dad sis not find any bugs!

Kirby: While they were in the garage, they let me out to play! I got to explore all over and smell all the smells! It did not last long enough cause Mom had to open the big roll up door and we had to go in.

Angel: After we all came in, we had a message for Mom:

See the food bowls are empty , almost!

And this big sack just came in from the pet store! That is Kirby with the Beasty Band on.

We put the bitey on that sack!

Kirby: But we made too much noise and Mom came and moved it! But she did put food in the bowls! Those weren't the only holes, either! Angel put a few in it too!

Mom: We received several awards over the weekend ans I will post them starting tomorrow!
