Bunny

Angel: Mom keeps telling our friends that we have a bunny in the back yard. But she never get's good pictures of him.

Kirby: We like to sit in the back window and watch the bunny! He does not move much, like the birds and squirrels, but we watch just in case.

Angel: Today Mom went out back and got a picture. She could not get too close, so you have to click to bigify it!

OK, she got two pictures. We think he lives under the shed. You can see the hole!

Kirby: Mom says he is a Cotton tail. I don't know how she can tell. We cant see his tail!

Water fountain

Angel: Mom and Dad searched the garage, and found the Drinkwell Fountain. Mom washed it up and Dad set it up! When it was here for Wizard, he did not like it so I did not either. Mom thought we would try it again.

Kirby: What's this?

Running water in the floor?

This is cool! I like it!

Angel: Well, OK. I'll give it another try.

This is not too bad!

Hands

Kirby: Mom had to look hard for hands in pictures of us! This one is me when he first cam here! I know Mom has used this one before so excuse the recycle!

Angel: Since I am still a little shy, Mom could not find one of Me and hands! That is OK! I am letting Mom pet me more and more every day.

Kirby: Mom's daughter and her two kids came over today. I got brave enough to join them! I let all three pet me, even the three year old. He kept saying 'soft, soft' and he was petting soft! So I had lots of hands, just no new pictures!

Finally Friday

Angel: It got cold here today and we may have Snow flurry's tomorrow! Here it is the last of March ans Snowing in Texas! Mom wont open the front window so we can look out! She says it is too cold and Kirby is not completely well yet.

Mom left us alone all day on Wednesday. She went to the quilt shop and played winding curves with Sara Moe! She almost finished her project in class, but did complete it while Dad cooked dinner. Then yesterday, she made a smaller one just like it. She had to get her allergy shots today so napped all afternoon today. We did not mind, cause we napped too, It was good nap weather, cool, cloudy and wet! It rained a little! Yeah! we really need rain!

Kirby: She laid the windy curves on the bed to take a picture to send the teacher! I sat on it so I could show our friends!

Happy Friday!

New Dish Washer and felling better!

Angel: When the Man came in to put in the new machine, we were locked in the bedroom cause he propped the door open and we might have gone exploring! He did not make a lot of noise and we did not get scared. When Mom let us out, Kirby ran out to see what had changed. I slunk out just to make sure we were alone! When Dad got home, they watched teh DVD to learn how to use it. Then they loaded the dishes in it and made it go! They could not hear any thing! OH, NO! Is it working? They opened the door and steam came out an it had water in it! They were amazed at how quite it was. Mom can sit in the kitchen and Sew or blog and still hear the TV over it. That did not happen with the old one. Mom made Dad run it when he went to bed cause it was so
loud!

Kirby: Before they put dishes in it, they opened it up so we could inspect it.

I turned on the laser lights so Angel could see better! Mom says I am feeling better. I raced ( chased) Angel down the hall to bed last night. I snuggled up to Mom on the bed and slept by her most of the night. I don't usually do that! Then I cuddled up next to Angel and did not Try to sit on her or wrassle! Dad even saw us touching paws ans noses this morning! I even talked last night and I have not felt like talking all week!

Mom: It always amazes me how a trip to the vet improves our social skills. Angel went in last month for her yearly checkup and then Kirby this month. Both have been more social and cuddly. Kirby is not sneezing as much ans has not had any wheezing and gasping for breath since late yesterday evening, no runny eyes or nose bubbles. He is eating and drinking and seems to feel better!

Thanks to all who sent purrs and well wishes!

Not feeling better

Kirby: Mom got a funny box out and set it in the floor. I walked right in and she zipped it up! Wait! Mom! I'm in here!

Mom: I know Kirby! It'll will be OK.

Kirby: Then we went out side and got in the moving machine. I huddled in the corner of the box and did not say a word. This reminded me of going from the foster home to different cages before Mom found me.

Then when we stopped, Mom took me into a strange place and it smelled! It smelled of other cats and worse of all Woofies! I was scared! We went in a tiny room and Mom took me out of the box and set me on a cold table. A nice girl gave us a towel to lay on! I love towels! But I huddled against the wall on the towel and curled my tail tight to my back! I got so close to the wall that my back end stuck to a sticky roller. Mom pulled it off and told me it was to remove hair from cloths, not kitties back ends. She tried hard not to laugh! Then the 'nice' girl and a guy came and did rude things but told Mom I did not have a fever!

Then Mom pput me back in the box and we moved to a different room. Back out of the box I came and onto a table on the floor. They told Mom I weighed 9.8. I only weighed 5 when mom got me!

We found out that Dr Hector was on vacation so this Lady Vet looked at me. She looked in my ears and felt of me. She kept saying 'Poor congested kitty'. I think that meant that I should not be blowing snot bubbles when I sneezed. She gave me a shot and I was a good kitty and did not cry. In fact, I have not said any thing for two days!

They gave me this yummy stuff called Enisyl-f (L-Lysine). I get it twice a day! I like it. Angel is suppose to get it to, but she does not like it! Mom does not want to hole her down and force it down her cause it scares her and then she won't come to Mom.

Mom had been gone all day today so we have slept. It is rainy and twenty plus degrees cooler that the last week! I a still congested and have problems breathing from time to time, but the DR said it is not an upper respiratory infection, but to watch me! I am not sure what I am suppose to do, but I am laying on the table so she can see me!

Busy Tuesday

Mom tells we are busy today! There are strangers cumming in to install a new dish cleaning machine! The old one broke after 20 plus years! That means we will be locked in the bed room! Then Kirby has to go see DR. Hector!

Mom almost forgot! We won the 50,000 visitor contest at Samantha, Tigger and Maverick's site Life from a Cat's Prospective! We will post pictures of out prize later, if it gets less busy!

Last night Dad was dragging the rug sucker ( it is a Kirby, too) around and it made a loud noise. Dad took it apart and it has eated one of our mouses! It smashed it's little body and pulled its furs off. We are staying away from that rug sucker.

Mom: OK, guys, you are too big to get caught in the vacuum!

We sat at the front door in our chairs all day yesterday. We watched the pesky Mockingbird fly across the poach close to the door to tease us! Kirby sat there more than I did and now he is squeaking! Mom says it s sneezing but he sounds like a squeaky toy. He has a runny eye and has problems breathing, not all the time, just when he starts sneezing. So he gets to go meet Dr Hector!

Since it is Toesy Tuesday, mom found this picture of Kirby trying to take the flashy box away!

Nip Time

Angel's nip time

Kirby's Nip time

Kirby has decide to get behind the washer and dryer. The only way I could get him out was to offer them nip! They love to roll in it. Then they lick it off each other! That is a rare tummy shot of him.

             2.  Playing in he garage

              3.  Setting in my yellow chair and looking out the front door

Kirby: (that's not fair!  she took mine!)

            1.  Having food in my bowl all the time and my furever home

             2.  Sitting in the red chair or the yellow one and looking out the front door.

            3.  pestering my sister Angel!

Baby Patches at Confessions of the Plume

Mom's is hissing about IE!  It died!  It corrupted all her links! So Dad loaded Opera.  Mom said it would work for not, but she ain't hearing any music.  Opera won't spell check even after following their distructions.   She has not been able to checl her words to make sure they say what she wants them to.

So Dad loaded Firefox.  She has not played with it  too much to see if she is better at palying with fire rather than singing in the Opera!  Whatever that means.  Mom dose not make sense some times!

However, her links do work in Opera and Firefox!  go figure!  She blamed these issues on us not posting much in the last three days.

Kirby fooled Mom

Angel went into the garage and Mom thought she had been gone a long time. Mom opened the door and started calling her.

Kirby: I gotted into the garage! Well, almost. I made it to the step before Mon realized I had followed her out.

Mom: Thought you were being smart! But I grabbed you !

And when I turned around, Angel was setting in the kitchen.

Angel: I was laffin and laffin

Resting on Monday

Mom and Dad had a wonderful time at the quilt show! They was gone all day Saturday but came home for dinner. Mom only got four new quilt projects and fabric to finish another one! Then on Sunday they went back to look at the quilts. There were a lot that had kitties on them! They were all beautiful, but some were weird! After the show, they met their Bean Son at the airport He was passing through. Their daughter and her kids joined them for dinner and they had a very good visit.

This is what happened when they got home.

Angel: Mom, can I go in the garage?

Mom: Yes, Where is Kirby. He still can not go!

Angel: He's in the other end of the house.

Mom: OK I'll open the door, but hurry.

Kirby: Did I hear the back door, huh, huh? Where's Angel?

Mom: She went out in the garage. You know you are to nosy to go out there with out adult supervision.

Kirby: I'm going to sit right here by the kitty door and wait!

A few minutes later Angel pushed her nose on the kitty door...

Kirby: Haha you can't come in! I am holding the door.

Angel: (muffled) Mom! I want in!

Kirby: Haha Sorry. I'm not going to let you!

Angel: Mom!

Dad looked into the laundry room to see what the issue was. Every time Angel tried to push the kitty door open, Kirby put both front paws on it and pushed her back. We were laughing so hard, be could not find a camera!

Dad: Kirby, Come here. Let your sister in. Angel, I have picked him up, try again.

Angel: Thanks Dad! Kirby is being a brat!

Mom and Dad agree!

who locked Kirby in the bathroom

Mom: What was that loud bang? (no answer) I better check on that. Angel? What's up and where is your brother?

Angel: I didn't do any thing, Mom! We were just playing!

Mom: Playing where?

Angel: In your bathroom!

Mom: And where is Kirby?

Angel: In your bathroom!

Mom: Who Shut the door?

Angel: He did! It pushes shut from the inside! I don't got thumbs, so can not pull it closed!

Kirby: Hi Mom! It is so much fun to play slap hands under the door that I got excited! And then I pushed a little on the door. And then I pushed a lot and it clicked. I ask Angel to get you.

Angel: I started that way, yawn.

Don't get me wrong about the rain! We are thankful we are getting it. We are so far behind for the last 12 months but this will help the yards and flowers, but not fill the lakes or break the drought!

Wet Wednesday

We wanted rain and it came!

We needed rain, but should be be looking for Noah?

The yard is standing in water. And more rain is comming!

Squirrel Hunt

Kirby on a Squirrel Hunt. The Squirrel was at the foot of the tree out back less than three feet and a window pane away!

Can you see all the nose prints on the glass?

This squirrel was across the street. It is too early in the season for them to let Mom get too close. By the end of summer they won't even run when she goes out side.

You will have to click on the picture to bigify it so you can see him!

Outside our front door

Mom has been talking about her Iris a lot lately. Her grandaddy set these out in the late 1920's or early 1930's. She moved them a couple of times and now they are in our front yard. Her Grandparents married in February and his flowers always bloom in February. They were prettier last week.

And this one

We see these all these things out our front door when we are setting in our chairs!

our welcome sign has a kitty like us!

This is one of the big trees where the squirrels hand out!

Dad was watering the yard on Sunday and we has Fev-vers playing in the watter. There was a Robin Red Brest the sidewalk and a Red Headed wood pecker in that big tree. Mom wishes she could have gotten pictures!

She did get this one, not very good, but it is a Mockingbird on the neighbors antenna! We could hear him singing but could not see him!

The Honesty Weblog award

Our wonderful friends The Monkeys gave us this award; The Honesty Weblog award/meme

It comes with these rules: “When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows who he or she is. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including ones who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.” Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on! “

Angel:

1. I was lost and cold when Dad spotted me across the street!
2. I did not have a name for three weeks, cause Mom was not sure I would stay!
4. In those three weeks, I went to the vet three times. One for an initial check up to make sure I was well, one for an injury and one for my ladygardenectomy.
The injury was to my back leg and Mom and Dr. C did not see it on the initial visit. When it got infected and ruptured, it was a real mess!
5. Mom and Dad think some one was mean to me. If you try to touch my head, I duck and move away.
6. I still do not like to be touched and cuddled too much, but I am getting better.
7. I will ask to be picked up when I am comfortable with it. I raise my left paw and ask. Dad tells Mom that is my 'up' meow!
8. I loved my big brother, Wizard, before he went to
the bridge.
9. I love my little brother Kirby cause he runs and plays with me and sometimes washes my ears!
10. I am very happy I now have a home and family that loves me as I am.

Kirby:

1. I was a rescue kitty.
2. I was a foster kitty.
3. I looked so much like Angel that Mom and Dad could not leave me at the adoption center.
4. I do like to cuddle and and snuggle. Not as much as Mom would like, but I am getting there. I like to be picked up!
5. Mom says I am still a baby. I cant wait till my birthday so I can be a man cat. 4 more months!
6. I like to wrestle with my sister!
7. I am more active than Angel. I want to run and climb and chase, and play and wrestle all day and half the night!
8. I love boxes!
9. I get on the sewing and computer tables to help Mom and Dad. I like to help Mom with her quilts. I lay on the fabric and chase the scraps. Mom found one in the big bed where we all sleep!
10. I to am happy to have a home and family that love me!

We are suppose to pass this along to Seven friends, but we think s lot of our friends have been tagged.

We will tag Ariel at Krazy Kitty Rants to welcome her back with her new blog!

dinner

Mom, What's wrong with the food bowl?

Let me guess, it's empty?

Well that too, but look what Kirby is telling you!

Oh, my! he is trying to tell me it is very empty!

Yep, and now he is eating out of MY bowl. Can't you teach him to keep his paws to himself!

We try , Angel, but he is still a little boy that has not learned all his manners! I will fill up both bowls!
