Happy Halloween

Kirby tried to look spooky!

We got a new litter box today because our original automatic one broke.  It was 8 to 10 years old!

Max has to check out what was under the plastic.  He was not surprised to see Kirby!

Max approves.  It is big enough for my 'tocks!

Of course, the box is more fun than the litter box!

Angel wonders what the big deal is!  It is just a litter girls room and those boys got their germs all over it!

Boolarty

We are being features on Boolarty today!   Ann ask for kitties she has not featured before so we sent her Max!

She did a wonderful job!

She also included Angel and Kirby

Now, I want to thank every one for the advise you gave us.  I am sorry it has taken so long to respond.  Things have improved, somewhat.   We put calming collars on all three.  Kirby is use to wearing one.  Max was not a problem, but Angel was a wild cat!  You would have thought we were killing her! We also have three diffusers in the house.  I have not been able to find Rescue Remedy locally so will have to order it.  We did find Calm Down by Whisker City to put in the water.  I am not sure it did any thing.

Angel is still very growly and hissy.  She wants nothing to do with Max. She and Kirby seem to be getting along like they did before/  He still wants to put his nose in her business and she gets upset over that.  Max and Kirby dance around each other.  Max will bow up and charge Kirby and Angel.  Kirby just looks at him like 'what ever'.  There have been a few head bops from both the boys  It is better, but still a little tense at times.

We have been playing almost every evening.  All three love the feathers in a wand.  They like the way Mom plays but not Dad.  Mom complains that her arm gets tired.   They have been very good at sharing.  As soon ad any one of them starts the other two show up like magic!  Mom will say, it is Angel's turn and the boys will let her play.  Then Mom says it is Kirby's turn and Angel will lay down.  Then it is Max's turn.  It is so funny how they take turns.  Some times Angel gets over eager and will jump on the feather whey it is Max's turn and ends up in his space.  He just sits down ans looks at her and after a moment of distraction, she is back at play with out making a fuss!

Max has been sleeping on the top of the cat tree.  That is Kirby's favorite place!  I must find a place for another one!

Max has come up on the bed with Kirby at night.  If Angel is there, she moves to the headboard or window sill.  They do not all sleep with us, yet. Max was not interested in Temptations.  Angle loves Crispies and Party Mix because the pieces are so small.  Treat time is at bed time every other night.  Angel gets hers on the dresser and Kirby on the bed.  Max has learned the sound of the treat bag and likes the Crispies and Party Mix, too!  He has joined Kirby on the bed for his.   All three know the treats are kept in the bedside table and are there any time the drawer is open!.

Things are better.  WE still have some issues, but are working on them.  We have discovered that Max does spray.  We have found most of the places he prefers and treated them.  When we catch him, we scold him and tell him it is wrong.  I do not know if that helps or not, but we try.

WE are so sad

Mom here.  We feel we have made a great mistake.  The last post gave us false hope that all three kitties were learning to get along. Now we are not so sure.

Max is such a loving kitty.  He is getting to the point of sitting with us and he loves to be petted.

Angel is a love me on my own terms and we have accepted that for years.  If she wants to be petted, she comes to us.

Kirby is a fun loving kitty that will ask for pets and loves to play.  However, he has had a rowdiness where he chases Angel and holds her down and bites her to the extent that she is screaming and has tiny scabs under her fur.   Now he has started picking fights with Max.  He has Max so cowered that he can not be in the same room with Kirby. Sorry, no picture of Kirby, He is under the bed.

Max and Angel have never settled in.  She still growls and hisses at him, but he thinks since it is OK for Kirby to be aggressive to both of them, he can be aggressive to Angel.

We love all three.  What can we do?  Say good by to Kirby, or Angel or Max.  It is breaking my heart to have all of this tension in the house and to have to make these hard decisions.

Does any one have any suggestions?

Tummy Tuesday

Angel here:  As you all saw i am very upset to have a new brother.  However, he is becoming my champion.  Kirby has always jumped on me and bitten me on the neck.  I try to fight back, but mainly I scream for Mom and Dad.   Mon saw me rolling down the hall with Kirby right behind me swatting at me.  Then to her surprise, Max was behind Kirby swatting at him!  That does not mean that he and I are cuddle buddies!

Kirby:  Max and I have worked out most of our issues.  He gets in my face and I bop him on the head. I am not so sure why he wants to chase me when I an chasing Angel.

Max:  That head bopping can go both ways.  Mon has seen me bop Kirby , Too.  That Angel girl is getting better.  She can be in the same room with me with out all that screaming.  We are still not totally comfortable, but we are getting there.

Mom:  It was a rough first few days but seems to be calming down now! I pulled the purple feather on a stick out and they all three shared, each taking turns.  All I had to do was say it is Angel's (or Kirby's or Max's) turn and the other two would wait!  Angel is no longer hiding but has rejoined the family.

Today we were comfortable enough for the boys to do Tummy Tuesday, within two feet of each other and Angel was within three feet!

 Kirby on the floor

 Max on the couch

Angel, rarely shows her tummy!

I am not so thankful

Angel here!  Mom went to her friends house and Dad let a red boy cat in the house!  The nerve!  Then they told me I have to like him!  Ha! That is not happening any time soon.  I have been schooling him on the proper way to treat a lady cat!

Notice how slow he is creeping!  He knows who is boss.

Mom here:  Angel is sitting on the computer desk as I test the video.  She is looking around to see who is so mad.  I keep telling her it is her  making that racket and she just looks off!

Mancat Monday

Mom tells me it is an honor to get to do Mancat Monday.  I am Max.  I am a big red and white kitty so Mom sometimes calls me Big Red.

You can see that I do not like the flashy box in my eyes.

I was born December 28, 2010 (approximately).  I had another family but their circumstances changed and they had to surrender me.  I was in a shelter on death row when Frisco Humane Society rescued me.  Mom and Dad saw me at PetSmart in Plano and decided to adopt me.

They had me labeled as a Tuxie!  Just of another color.  Saturday was strange.  I was use to living with 15 other cats and I got along with all of them.  Here there are just two kitties and they were not very welcoming.  Kirby hissed and hid.  But I really do not want to cross Angel.  She may be little, but she scares me with her growl.  It sounds like a very big dog is under the couch!

Sunday, Kirby and I has several up close 'meetings'.  Mom said I was the aggressor but Kirby stood his ground.  He told me he was king of the house so I backed off.  WE did not see Angel all day!

Today, Kirby and I got close enough to nose bump with out any problem.  This is us today.

Kirby

Max

Sleeping in the same room !  Mom and Dad are so happy.  Even though Angel is still hiding, she did make an appearance this afternoon.  She sat on the half wall and glowered at me, but did not make a sound.   We all thought that was progress!

Yes, it looks like I am here to stay!  Yippie!

It has been a hissy day

Angel:  I am so hissed off!  I even growled at Dad!  A lady came to the house today and left a monster!

Kirby:  You are telling me!  I greeted it and then wen and hid under the bed. Mom was gone so we blame Dad for letting it in!    Angel got so upset she scratched Dad! Do not think that Mom got off easy, either.  Look at how she betrayed us!

Meet Max, the big red cat!

Look at his lovely face.  He reminded Mom of Eric from Eric and Flynn.

He thinks he is something else because he is snuggling with Mom!

We are not sure what will happen at bed time, but Day one of the Hiss Fest is almost over!

Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

We are thankful that Mom did not ground us!

Monday, July 15, 2013

Angel: We will not be doing this for a few days.

Kirby: I know.  Not only because of the rain, either!

Mom: No it is because of this tree.  It is rotten and full of Yellow banded Hornets! And Angel was all the way up to the fork before Dad saw her!.  She came down for Mom, but had to cross some of the bad places where the bad bugs are!

Easy on Sunday

We have been gone a month.  It is time to try and get back to blogging.  Mom and Dad were gone for a week and Mom came home with swimmers ear!  Her ears are still bothering her, but er put the paw down and demanded computer time!

Angel was checking out the birdbath when Kirby had to see what she was doing

She left it to him.   We can not keep water in it because of the heat.  It evaporates daily!

Two Tuxies on Thursday, thankful for fresh air!

Kirby facing the camera and Angel rolling in the dirt!

Kirby has been going outside to play for several weeks.  He is supervised and never left alone.  At first he explored every thing in the yard.  Now he checks it out and then lays in the grass or dirt or rolls on the concrete!   Angel has started wanting to join him.  That makes Mom nervous.  Angel will not come to Mom or let Mom pick her up most of the time.  Mom is afraid that Angel will not be easy to get back in.  Mom leavers the back door open while she is sitting with Kirby and Angel runs in and out but never gets too far from the door.

ANgel's new game

 Warning!! Big ugly bug !

Angel loves to go into the garage and bring in big ugly bugs.  This week, we discovered that she has been putting the in the Turbo Scratcher!  The bug is much more fun to chase than the blinking ball!

 Angel ready to pounce.

Take that!  Big ugly Bug!

Mom was grossed out so Dad took away the big ugly bug and Mom substituted two Hex Bugs.

I will catch you , Hex Bug!

Blue Tuesday

Mom has been blue for a couple of weeks.  And then tornadoes started hitting hard around North Texas and then today in Oklahoma.  Two elementary schools raised.  Children taken too soon.  It makes Mom feel guilty for feeling blue.

This is Miss Gray. She has lived in our back yard for three years, at least, maybe more.

It took two years to get her to trust Mom and then Dad.  Mom took very good care of her.  Provided her a shelter and fed her twice a day.

You can see how far she has come.  She  always presented her tummy for scritches.

She and Kirby had become  good friends.  He went outside every afternoon to visit with her.

And then two weeks ago, just two days after Mom and Dad came home form a trip, she disappeared.
Mom checked the shelters for her,but they have not taken any kitties that look like her.  Mom just hopes where ever she is, she knows she was loved.
