Weird Monday

To day is a weird Monday.  The big tree in back is deaded.  Mother nature deaded it. Mom is sad because it shaded that corner of the house. The back yard is full of guys taking it down. But then she and Dad are happy because it will not blow down in the spring storms. It could hit our roof or the neighbors it that happened.

We cats are in hiding cause there is a lot of noise and something with big feet is on the roof!

Max was in the cube.

Kirby:  Wait, this box does not have enough cover!  I'm out of here!

Yikes!  Mom what is that loud buzzing noise?
What is that big thing stomping on the roof!
I'm out of here too!

With that, Angel and Kirby disappeared under the bed together!
Max is taking full advantage of an Angel free area!  He wants to go in the garage so he can help (get in  the way)

It's always a bummer when a nice tree dies, but it's good that you're removing it for safety reasons. We have a green ash tree in our backyard and know that, in time, it will likely be killed by the ash borer. :-(

Yikes! I sure wouldn't like all that noise either!!!

We don't want all those either. Stay undercovers kitties.

Glad the tree didn't hit your house.

That's a shame about the tree, but yes, better than damaging a house at some point. We hate when there are people here doing work, and you guys had lots of loud noises. It's no wonder you took to hiding! Max & Kirby, you look cute peeking from your hidey spots. Max, you're brave to want to help!

Staying under cover is a good idea when too many humans are lurking around the house!

HAH! I have big feet on my roof too! They're replacing our roof so there will be a lot of action. TW hopes I can handle it. She also hopes that they don't use smelly chemicals to lift the old roofing that will seep into our apartment.

We hope all that noise has stopped by now.

It was before my time, but apparently there was a big tree out in our backyard that my human loved but it died. It wasn't exactly Mother Nature... it was some sort of beetle that killed it. But I guess that's sort of close enough.

oooooohhhhhh I feel your painful ears and vibrating paws. We had the last of our 50' pine trees taken down last June I think it was. Those things are scary when a big storm blows through or the get laden down with ice or freezing rain.
I hope you are all out and enjoying your home again

That's sad about your tree :( I still miss one from my front yard that had to be taken down several years ago for the house's safety...I still wish I had someone try to save part of it

Under the bed sounds like the right place to be! I always get sad to see trees leave, too. My parents had to cut down an old, sick tree from the home in which I grew up. It was sad, but like you said, at least no harm or home damage will occur once those Spring storms stir up.

I'm kinda scared of strange loud noises as well. Thankfully I have plenty of places to hide when I get freaked out. Enjoy your weekend!

Glad you all have the sense to hide from all that racket. Must be noisy and scary there. Of course, it would be scarier if the tree fell on the house, so glad it's being taken care of before that happens.

It must have been scary hearing the big feet on the roof. Good thing you had the cube and the box nearby for cover. Thanks for sharing the wonderful photos with us. Have a great upcoming weekend.
