Happy New Year!

Mom is leaving us tomorrow for one night. She is taking Christmas presents to Shadow's family. WE hope the weather stays good so they can get back to us!

We want to wish all our friends a Happy New Year and thanks for being our friends! It has been a strange year with Mom at home all day but we are all use to it now. We hope next year brings health and happiness and jobs to all.

Tuxie Tuesday

Angel: Mom thinks I am strange but we know she is. Every one in the family knows Mom can not grow plants. But Mom tries to have cat grass for us. You know how it turns out? It turns into hay, all brown and sweet! I love the hay!

Mom brought in some fresh green grass. It will start to wilt by the weekend and be hay next week. She follows the directions, but it just turns brown.


Thanks Mom, now put the flashy box away do I can graze.

Kirby: I am not so much int grass!

Mancat Monday

Kirby is taking it easy after Christmas. After two evenings with a four year old he deserves his rest.

Merry Christmas to all out friends!

Mom did not put up a Christmas tree so she put all the packages in the quilt box to keep us from unwrapping them!


Here are most of our Christmas cards. It appears that some kitty has taken a couple and hidden them. Thank you all for sending them to us.

Mom is posting late again, but we will forgive her. She and Dad went to Anna' s for lunch, it is just across town but they were gone a long time.

We hope every one had a wonderful Christmas and a great day with family and friends.

Mancat Monday

Kirby is a real mancat, even if he is still attached to his Mom's apron strings!

Home from the vet!

Angel: Mom pulled a fast on on us today!
Kirby: She made us both go to the vet!
Angel: I received notice that I was due for my yearly vaccinations so I had to go.
Kirby: Doc wanted me to loose weight, so I had to go get weighed.
Angel: It seems the Vet's office messed up. They should have given me a rabies shot last February, but didn't. So today, I only got one shot but I have to go back in February! I had lose 6 ounces.
Kirby: I had lose 4 ounces. Oh, well, it is a start! We both got clippy claws!

Mom: Angel screams from the time I put her in the carrier till we get to the office and then she refuses to come out. Her heart rate was very elevated and she was shaking she was so scared. Kirby climbed out of the carrier and hid (only from himself) under a stool. They got treats at the office and at home!

We do not snuggle this close often with out ending up wrestling and then Angle is crying loudly cause Kirby is biting hard. The last few days we have played THoE and chase and whapfest for hours. Especially after all the lights are out.

So when Mom finds us asleep together and this close, she knows we are very tired!

Mom keeps saying something about a trip to the vet tomorrow, but she has not said who is going!

Kirby wanted to let every one know that Angel was not the only helpful quilter cat in the house. He is helping Mom look for places that need to be repaired.

Easy like Sunday

Mom is repairing a quilt for Shadow's Mom. Angel is holding it down till Mom gets through visiting our friends and posting our Easy Sunday.

We got our Secret Paws package!

We got our package on Wednesday but Mom was too lazy to open it. We thought she was doing to make us wait till Christmas.



Angel: Look, Kirby, It has our names on it.
Kirby: Who's it from?


Angel. It says Darling Millie in the corner.
Kirby: Wow, she is a pretty Tuxie lady !
Angel: Lets get this open!


Kirby: Can I check in the package?


Kirby: We need to open the little packages!


Angel: Temptations! Beef and Chicken!
Kirby: Mouses and balls!
Angel: And a pretty card!


And a blue mouse just for me!

Kirby: Wait, did I say temptations? We want some!


Angel: May be I better check the package, too!


OK, All empty. I am taking my mouse in the sewing room to play! Thanks Millie and your Mom! We really like our presents!

Lonely Tuesday

Kirby: Mom, What is this funny suitcase?


Mom: My sewing machine goes in it
Kirby: Are you sending it on a trip?
Mom: No, I am going to a class.
Kirby: Look it is big enough for me, too. Can I go?


Mom: No, I am going to be gone all day. Where would you nap all day at the store?
Angel: It smells funny, I think we should stay here in the comfort of home.



Mom: Good idea.

Easy like Sunday

This is four paws up for an easy Sunday, Kirby style.

Mom was busy for us today

Mom got almost all the Christmas cards mailed today. And she sent the Secret Paws box out!

We got a package and Mom was going to make us wait till Christmas to open it. She changed her mind, but was too lazy to take pictures of the opening. It was from Baby Patches store. Mom ordered lighted balls for the turbo track. We got a pink one and a green one. We have been playing with them all evening.

Baby Patches sent is a bag of Fish Flakes. We had never had fish flakes before. We love them! Thanks Baby Patches!

Then Angel discovers she can roll it hard enough to make it flash.


Mom has three different things going on tomorrow, so if we get to post , it will be late. She has been looking for a white elephant all day. We think she has finally lost her mind along with that elephant.

Angel: I never get on the top shelf of the tree. Well , almost never. Kirby has claimed it for his own. Tonight, I decided I wanted it.

Snow? WHat is that

Kirby: Mom, What was that white stuff in the air and yard this morning.


Angel: I forgot you were not here last winter!


Mom: Kirby, that was snow. Yes we do get snow in Texas. Now we do not want to insult our Norther US , Canadian and European or any other friends by calling this snow, but we do get excited to see it. (North is any one outside of Texas border) Some places close to us got more!

Mom got her main computer back

Angel: The repair man came out last week with a new mother for the computer. But he said the mother was not or broken. The video card was blind. He did not have that part.

Kirby: So he came back yesterday and put in a new one and a new mother. Now it runs good as new.

Angel: Now Mom can get to her stored email ans start sending Christmas cards. We are helping her! I like this set!


Kirby: I like both sets!

Mom and Dad are home.

Angel: I sink Mom and Dad are home!


Kirby: I sink so too!

Angel: We did not get any turkey or ham. They got to eat Thanksgiving dinner twice in two different states. And they did not bring us any thing.

Kirby: We did get treats and cuddles.

Angel: Look at the beautiful Christmas header! The ZH at Zoolatry made it for us. Thanks you very much.. We really like it!

Guess where Mom and Dad are

Mom and Dad have deserted us. They went to Shadow, Illyana and Ivan's house. They had their first Thanksgiving dinner this weekend there. They have another one on Friday at Grandmothers house!

Ivan had his snip job on Tuesday. Mom went with his Mom to pick him up. She thought it would be fun to take a picture like the first one they took of him. He was found in the hospital parking lot. He had to travel loose in the car because they did not have a carrier. While they were waiting in the car, he got on the dash.

It's been a year.

It is hard to believe that my boy has been gone a year! Where has the time gone.



No time to grieve because three Grand Kids have birthdays this week and cooking at two different houses for Thanksgiving.


We hope all our friends have a wonderful Thanks giving day!

We got a package

Mom donated to Marty's surgery fund through Peggy's Place and she sent us a hairy blanket. They are within $200 of their goal to help this kitten.

Mom: Look, you got a package!


Angel: We got another package!


Kirby: Cool! Open it, Dad!


Dad: OK, I'll open it!



Angel: What is it? Look at the cute note! It is a Tuxie!


Kirby: Let me help you get it out!


Angel: It is a purple Hairy Blanket!




Kirby: OH, Yes it is! It is so soft! I can't help making biscuits on it and snuggling in it!

Angel: Is there any thing else in the box?


Kirby: I better check, too!


Mom: I did not catch the original 'kitty in the box' so had to recreate it with treats!

Thank you Peggy! We love it! Kirby really loves it. Angel is cautious around soft blankets. It is like she does not care for the feel or was punished 'in her life before here' .
