Quilting weekend
This was a quilting weekend at our house. Mom decided she wanted to finish some UFO's (unfinished objects). She made the snowman (12) and star blocks (24) in 2009.
Angel approved the layout.
Mac Approved the layout.
Kirby did not! he rearranged the blocks several times!
This is a rare event! All three on the bed at one time. They all found their favorite block and laid down.
Finished quilt with out kitties.
Mom has several others quilts to finish. She wants to finish them so she can start some more! Silly woman!

Adopt a less-Adoprable pet
This week is Petfinder.com's Adopt-A-Less-Adoptable-Pet Week, a week dedicated to spotlighting those pets that are most often overlooked in shelters. It's all about getting people to take a second glance -- and give a second chance -- to those pets whose only crime is being a little older, the "wrong" color, or otherwise "less adoptable" -- but who have just as much love to give.
When we decided to share our home with a new pet we decided on a kitty. We went to the local shelter to see what was available.
THe first Kitty we wanted to meet was an older lady whose human had passed. No one in the family wanted to take her in so they gave her up. She was a large gray tabby but she did not want to meet us. THe attendant could not get her out of her suite.
We looked in the next suite and there was a beautiful Tuxedo kitty. He was a big fellow and estimated to be two years old. He had an eyelid that was turned in and it was rubbing the eye ball. We were told that he would have to have surgery to save the eye.
We took him home, got his boy surgery and his eye fixed. He was the most loving kitty ever. He took naps with Mom and slept every night on the bed.
He was not with us as long as we wanted, but he let us know when the time to go was. Kidney failure is a cruel illness.
This was our Wizard!
Mom says to ignore the mess!

Our family
Angel wanted to introduce our family! We tried to create a stick family yesterday from the Crews blog but it did not work. So today we tried the new like the Crew's Views provided.

Friends on Friday
A lot of our friends introduce new blogging friends on Friday. We wanted to introduce the outside kitties that Mom is feeding. We do not know gender but call the gray kitty 'her' and the black kitty 'him'. These two use to hiss at each other but now have become friends. Gray kitty is so much more tame and friendly than she was two months ago. She is waiting on Mom every morning for the food. Black Kitty is usually waiting just around the corner of the house and only comes to the dish after Mom closes the door.

Tuxie Tuesday
I helped Mom finish her Halloween quilt today. It is for a contest at a quilt shop and she might win a shopping spree!
Dad hung it in the living room!
Mom: We have been getting waves of rain all day from the remnants of a tropical storm. We may get more tomorrow. WE are so thankful, even if we could not work in the garage!

Happy Labor Day
Mom, since Labor day is a holiday and a day to rest and play, you have to stop laboring in this quilt!
Thanks, Angel! I will work on it tomorrow!
Several friends wanted to know about our kitty play yard. It is a City Kitty or a Sport Pet that Mom got at Target two or three years ago. She has searched for more but City Kitty and Sport Kitty have redesigned all their products and do not make this one any longer.

Beautiful Caturday
Dad has been working in the garage this week. He lets me go out in the kitty play yard! It is only 87 here today with a light breeze.
Yes, Kirby, I see your cute paw!
P.S. Mac and Kirby are appearing on Wendy's LOL-Spot today!
