We are very sad that a sweet friend was helped to the Bridge today. Sweet Praline was given the greatest gift of love her Mom could offer.

Not so wordless Wednesday

Mom here: The Wildfires have missed my family home place. They have been north and east or south and east and moving to the east. My sister said the smoke was so bad last night that she coughed all night. We have been lucky so far, but the temps are reaching 100 and the humidity is at 7% and the wind always blows.

Here in the Dallas area, we are getting some smoke but no fires.

This is so rare for Angel and Mac to share. They stayed that way for hours with out any growling or hissing!

Tuxie Quilting Tuesday

Kirby loves the bright flowered fabric. He took a nap in it after the photo shoot.



He is a good helper when penning a quilt.

Easy Sunday

Saturday night bath time

WE got new calming collars today. So we decided to take baths.


Mac would not even look at Mom. He was giving her the back of disrespect!

Finaly Friday

Mom spends Fridays with a friend sewing and stuff. This week it was stuff. They were cataloging her friends books. They also worked on Tuesday on this project. Every time they found a duplicate, it was put in a stack for Mom to take home! They started at 'A' and have made it through 'P'. Out of 421 books, mom got 61 duplicates!

Wordless Wednesday

Shabby Chic Day

Alfie at The Cat's Meow declared this Shabby Chic day! Yesterday we showed some of Mom and Dads home decorating so today we will show ours!


Mom is embarrassed to show these pictures! WE think she will be cleaning tomorrow!



This is the corner of the box springs. It is usually hided from sight!


We really admire the black furs we have left on her bedroom curtains!


This is Kirby's artistic design. You can see that Mom put sticky tape on it, but Kirby pulled that off and continued with the project. It is now behind a video storage rack!




Mom was not sure that these two qualified because they are Our condo support posts!

Late Saturday

Last month Mom and Dad went to the Dallas Quilt show. Mom has always done her sewing on the kitchen table but her new machine is too heavy for that old table. So she bought a new cabinet. She decided that the old carpet needed to go. Here is Mac on the old carpet.

They thought they could just pull up the old carpet, clean the tape off the tile and be done. They ask our sister bean to come over and help. As with all good plans
something unforeseen happens. The tape striped the top layer of the tile in some places and pulled up chunks in other places. So new plan! they pulled up the tile and started scrubbing the sticky residue from the floor.

This is what the kitchen floor looked like on Saturday night.


Here Kirby is protecting the boxes of new tile That Mom picked out.


Here is that tile! When sister bean left on Sunday evening, the laundry room and part of the pantry were not complete. Mom and Dad are good starters but not good finishers. Mom ask Dad to try and finish the project by the end of March. He did, on the 31st!

Thankful Thursday

Mac and Kirby are thankful for open windows, birds and squirrels to watch and sharing with a good friend.
