Happy Birthday, Kirby
We did not forget Kirby's birthday, we have just been working all day. Kirby, please take over the blog!
Sure, Mom, no problem. I am helping Mom quilt a mini cat quilt.
I am very helpful and careful, I never get my paw or tail close to the needle when it is moving.
I am using the embroidery module for a pillow. It may not look comfy, but it really is!
Ok, Mom, enough with the camera and sewing. We want to party!
I also helped Mom bind this quilt! A quilt is not a finished until it has lots of cat hair on it!
Come and play! We have lots of toys and treats to share. You can nap in Moms favorite spot and she might even take a nap with you!

TBT
I was going through old photos for a reunion and came across one of my favorite photos of my first cat. Mr Jinks was a large yellow tabby. This was before we had a color camera! He is laying on the telephone table. This is in the late fifties or early sixties. The phone may have been upgraded to a rotary dial by then.

Max does Mancat Monday
Really, Mom!
Can't you see I do not want my picture taken?
Gee! I guess she does not get the message.
Maybe if I give her a good glare...
I give up! Get it over with so I can continue to play!
Max is limping again. We are not sure what is wrong. The vet has not found a reason for this, but it happen when he jumps down from the tree. We have created a set of steps from boxes (Mom really means junk) that he normally uses. We are stumped!
Speaking of stumps, The tree is gone. Mom thought she has some pictures of the guys up in it, but they have vanished, They did let one limb get away from them and they broke a window. They told us to get it fixed and take that much off what we owed them. It was a storm window, so there was another pane and the screen so the cats could not get out. It was repaired within 48 hours of breakage!

Weird Monday
To day is a weird Monday. The big tree in back is deaded. Mother nature deaded it. Mom is sad because it shaded that corner of the house. The back yard is full of guys taking it down. But then she and Dad are happy because it will not blow down in the spring storms. It could hit our roof or the neighbors it that happened.
We cats are in hiding cause there is a lot of noise and something with big feet is on the roof!

Max was in the cube.
Kirby: Wait, this box does not have enough cover! I'm out of here!
Yikes! Mom what is that loud buzzing noise?
What is that big thing stomping on the roof!
I'm out of here too!
With that, Angel and Kirby disappeared under the bed together!
Max is taking full advantage of an Angel free area! He wants to go in the garage so he can help (get in the way)

Mancat Monday with Max
I was laying in the tube on the tree, when Mom told me I needed do the Mancat post. You can tell how bothered I was! The light is funny because Mom took the photo through a glass door.
Mom was in the garden over the weekend and we told her to check on the nip. Now I am not a nip head, but those two tuxedos are! It looks like we did not have a freeze bad enough to kill the nip plant. Darn it!

It's my Gotcha Day!
Mom tells me it is my Gotcha Day!
I have been here since 2008! That is 9 years!
It seems like yesterday when Dad saw me across the street huddled in the cold. Some of you are new to our blog so we are going to tell you my story.
This is one of the first photos Mom took of me!
One cold night in February, Dad came in the front rather than the back
door.. He called Mom out to see what he found. Across the street huddled
against the step of a neighbors house was a tiny black and white
kitten. Mom could not stand to see her out side in 30 degree weather so
she started trying to coax her in. It took an hour to get her across the
street because every time she started to follow Mom, another car would
come. then she would get scared and run back to the step.
Finally Mon got her to the back yard and was getting her a box with a warm towel and food. When Mom opened the door again, in she came! She would run in and then back out. I (Wizard) came in the room to see what all the fuss was about and she hissed and growled at me. I (Wizard) turned my back and walked away. She followed me!
Mom was concerned that she might have something that might make me sick, so she set her up in the garage. The next morning Mom took her to see Dr. C. He did tests and deemed her healthy. So mom let her loose in the house with me.
I (Wizard) ignored her and she stopped hissing at me. That weekend Mom could not find her. She searched all of my normal hid outs but she was not there. Finally Mom found her on a shelf in the quilting room. When Mom picked her up, her bottom was wet. Mom thought she had had an accident and did not think too much about it. Then they started looking her over closely. She still did not like to be held or touched, especially on the head, but they did it any way. She still does not like us to reach toward her head.
She had a bad sore on her leg that had ruptured and was infected. Back to the vet she went. No one could determine if another animal had bitten her or if a human had hurt her.
Two weeks later she went into heat. She drove me and Mom crazy! Dr. C got that fixed as soon as he could get her in.

I miss my best friend because he was so gentle with me.

We Won!
In December, Those sweet Persian girls, Truffle, and Brulee and Mom Paula from Sweet Purrfections had a give away for a a piece of cat furniture from the Vesper™ V-Line series.
We entered the give away and won. Mom Paula emailed our Mom to get the mailing info and asked which we wanted, the V-Playstation or the V-Stool . We chose the stool.
It arrived on January 17, we asked Dad to put it together for us.
These pictures were taken the day the package arrived. The following were several days later. It was only by accident that I caught Kirby or Max on the stool. All three had ignored it for days!

Kirby had to check out the box.
And Max had to check out the inside of the box
Angel had to inspect the parts.
Then she called Kirby to come check it out
Max had to check to the parts.
Angel claimed the pad to sit on and watch the construction.
Max decided to observe from the sidelines and play with one of the Christmas presents.
Max wanted to make sure Dad was doing it right.
All done!
Looks good, Dad!
Thanks Angel
Hole with string ball? Check!
Post secured? Check
Thanks for the quality control, Max.
Sure , Dad.
You are right, Max, this smells right.
Thanks Angel
Hay, Kirby! I can see Mom through here!
You sure can, Angel!
Hi! Mom!
Hi Kirby!
These pictures were taken the day the package arrived. The following were several days later. It was only by accident that I caught Kirby or Max on the stool. All three had ignored it for days!
Kirby loves it!
So does Max
I have yet to catch Angel on it.
