We are getting along a little better! We still have our hiss spats and a harsh rumble every now and then, but we can all be in the same room. Mac had a fight with Angle this morning but both came out with our any visible wounds! Mac still chases Kirby down the hall but not as often.
We have left Mac lose in the house for 24 hours and they are all coping. We did not know what to expect his first night out but every one did very well.
We did not change Mac's food when he came here. I am feeding him the same stuff my sister sent home. The only difference is the amount. He was eating a spoon full maybe once a day. Many times he walked away from that! He would not touch dry food. Here he has eaten a can of wet food a day and all the crunchies that he can get! He is eating the diet food from the vet along with Kirby and Angel. I am still concerned about his poops, but feel it is stress relates.
This is how we have spent our Sunday.
Angel on the kitty blanket on the love seat.
Kirby on the sewing table, quilt batting or the sewing chair.
Mac on the cat tower. He had laid there all afternoon till I got the camera. He learns fast!
Sorry for the poor quality of this one. It was taken through a dirty window and screen. This is the outdoor kitten that we are feeding. She is coming out when we are in the yard and staying closer to the house when we ate in the house. I feel honored that I got this much of her!

Mom came home
Mom came home Sunday and she and Dad left on Monday for the day! LOOK WHO THEY BROUGHT HOME! His name is Mac and that is mine and Angels bowl he is eating out of!
He is staying in a room by him self most of the time. But Mom lets him out some. He and Kirby are circling each other and growling and hissing. They have bared claws once.
He and Angel just look at each other and growl and hiss.
Mom: It is going to take time. Mac has been an only kitty for several years. He was not eating at Mom's but I have not been able to get him full. He is eating very well, but now has pudding poop! It could be stress or it could be too much rich food.

Angle taking a bath under the table!
Mom is going to see Shadow, Illyana and Ivan tomorrow. Dad will be home with us. Mom probably will not get to post.

Sewing Sunday
Mom's favorite sewing shop is participating in the Million Pillowcase Challenge. Make a Difference. Every pillowcase can make a difference in your community. A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident.
With every thing else going on in our family, Mom did not get to work on these as much as she wanted to. So today she and Dad set up an assembly line and made 16 pillowcases. Dad is good at measuring and cutting and pressing while Mom sews!
Kirby wanted to help!
These are the different cases. Mom made duplicates of some. Most of the fabric was from her stash with a little accent colors she got yesterday.
Mom will turn them in tomorrow.

Update on Mac
I spoke to my sister today and Mac is doing well. He has started eating again and is no longer hiding.
We wanted to introduce you to his two siblings that he may live with.
Smokey on left, Lightening on right.
Smokey is a slick fur kitty.
Lightening is floofly ( in more ways than one!) like Mac
As you can see they love each other a lot!

Thank you
There are not words enough to thank our friends for the purrs , prayers and words of comfort they sent in our time of loss. Mom will be thanking each of you this week.
Nan: We had created a memorial CD of pictures of her and her family, pets and friends that played as the church filled. They played it again after the family was seated. Some of the 'kids' had not seen it so my sister ans I were openly explaining who some of the pictures were. We laughed and ahhh'ed together as a family and friends. It lightened the somber mood and made the sad time into a celebration.
This is Mac (left) and Ms Em, (right). Ms Em went to the bridge several years ago but Mac was with Mother when she passed. He is grieving but has started to eat a little. Mother always wanted him to come home with me. He will in a couple of weeks. We thought he should get use to her being gone before we disrupt his life further. If he disrupts the delicate balance that Angle and Kirby and us (we? I don't remember grammar) have achieved, Mac will go to my daughter who has the remain two of his litter mates.

We will be away for a few days
Mom here. We will be away for the rest of the week. My Mom answered the Lords call today and went home to join my Dad. She had been sick in January but had improved. Wednesday morning after breakfast she and my sister were joking and laughing. Then Mom sat up and informed my sister that she was going. She passed peacefully holding my sister and brother-in-laws hands. She would have been 89 in one month.
I am forever grateful for my sister. She has dedicated the last couple of years to our mother. She lived in a trailer on the back of Mom's yard until January when they moved into the house with her. My sister was a nurse and had all the training and dedication to care for our mother.
I usually do not put family pictures on my blog. But this is a special Mothers Day gift to my Mom. This picture was taken in 1950.
I will be reading your blogs as time permits just because they keep my mind busy. I will not take time to comment unless something really speaks to me.
We will see you next week.
Angle and Kirby will be looked after till I get home.

Purrs for Herman
This is my dear friend Herman. You see, Herman is FeLV and FIV positive and is not doing well at all. His condition is serious. His Mom, Karen Jo is one heck of a sweet human lady and loves him so very much. As a matter of fact, all of us in the Cat Blogosphere are just totally in love with sweet Herman and his Mom. It would be very nice, if you haven’t already, to go by and send them both some love and some purrs. You can find them at Herman's Hideaway.
Sorry, we are running late. Mom and Dad went back to the fair!

Beautiful Blogger Award
Our good friend Herman gave us this great award . Thank you so very much. We really appreciate it. According to the rules, We are supposed to tell you seven new things about us. We have received several awards in the last three months that Mom has not posted but we wanted to honor Herman. He is very sick and we thought it might make him and his Mom feel a little better that we posted this one. Please go see Herman and leave purrs for him. It looks like he is eating better today!
We will split the seven new things between us.
Angel, Ladies first
1. I have started asking for scritches!
2. I have started standing in Mom's lap and begging to be petted!
3. I think our diet is working cause Mom says I am lighter.
Kirby, your turn
1. I am wearing a calming collar so I don't jump on Angle and bit her neck. It is working!
2. I want to be in the kitchen when Mom and Dad are cooking. I lay in the floor and beg for tummy rubs.
3. I know the diet is working. I am getting a waist!
Mom, just to keep it even
1. I have applied for a part time job and a local quilt store. Being off a year and being idle is taking its toll on my body and mind.
Kirby is not sure he likes my new item!
