World Cat Day

We are celebrating World Cat Day by staying in cool dark places and napping.

Of course, that is the way we spend most hot summer days!

Thursday guest

Meet Bob. He lives at DR. Hector's office. He is a very sweet kitty and loves to let Mom or Dad pet him. He gets shaved every summer but his hair is growing back, now.



Mom does not know Bob's story. He has lived at the Vet's office for years. He appears to have been burned because he has a crumpled ear and a scared nose. He is a a love of a mancat and a blood doanner!

Kirby had his annual appointment today. He is in good health and Dr. Hector did not mention his weight.

Mom needed help with her sewing. So Angel helped by holding the end of the ruler.

Hot and easy Sunday

It is 104 at 6Pm. The humidity is only 23%. WE are expecting a whole week of 100 plus days with the humidity rising. This is typical Texas weather in August.

Angel was curled into a ball till I picked up the camera.

The heat has caused stress and we had a major cat fight at 5 am yesterday. All three were in on it and I have found long and short hair tufts all over the house. We put calming collars on all three. Kirby is use to wearing one and Mac has never worn a collar but adjusted quickly. Angel became more stressed. She would not stand up and walk but did the crouch slink across the floor. She growled at both the boys because she knew it was their fault she was being tortured.

Today, they have all been asleep in separate rooms.

Christmas in July!

This is our second year to do Christmas in July. This year our partners were all the locely cats at Cats of Wildcat Woods! WE opened our wonderful packages today (we got two)! Wow! Look at all the cool things!

Mac was not with us last year, so Kirby is explaining to him what Christmas in July is all about!

The first package has a great wand toy. It has a fleece tail with feathers. WE all loved it! We wanted to play but Dad told us to open the other package.

Mac is looking at the pretty bags in the box.

One bag had Temptations and Party mix! Yummy!

There were balls, nip mouses, a bag of nip and a Nip Nanner!

Cat grass for Mom to grow. Mac claimed the Nip 'Nanner.


Mac did not want to share the 'nanner!

But Angel did get a turn. Kirby did, too, but Dad did not get a picture!

Kirby loved the box and pretty tissue paper!

We got a red Kitty Cube to go with our purple ones! Mac was the first to try it out

And then Kirby did.

Mom here: I had to take the 'nanner away for a while. They had an argument as to who got to play with it. I am going to try to find two more!
