I was going through old photos for a reunion and came across one of my favorite photos of my first cat. Mr Jinks was a large yellow tabby. This was before we had a color camera! He is laying on the telephone table. This is in the late fifties or early sixties. The phone may have been upgraded to a rotary dial by then.

Oh do I remember telephone tables and rotary dial phones oh and party lines. You might pick up the phone to hear a neighbor chatting too. I had a wee chuckle when I read that.

Goodness! My Mommy must bes old! She remembers a telephone chair JUST like that - and it too always had a tabby (named Tiger) laying on it!
Too bad she does not has any pictures.

What a great memory. When the mom was growing up, there was a neighborhood cat named Jinks. He was a big ol orange tabby too.

Oh, our Mom loves old photos of first cats.... and just as soon as she can figure out where she misplaced her old black and white photo of her first cat, we'll make sure she posts it. Fair warning: She's been looking for it for years.
I have been going through pictures and found some way back to my first Jake the picture is about 35 years old makes you sad to see the ones gone
