Kirby is not feeling well. He has been sitting in the litter box, a lot but nothing seems to be happening. He is also purring constantly. That may not sound strange, but he never purrs! He is going to see Dr. Hector in a little while. He is still eating and drinking and chasing Angel but 4 times in the box in 30 minutes seems excessive. Then after he leaves the box, he is licking himself.
We may be off line for a few days. Mom has to go check on her Mom. She is in the hospital and is very depressed. They got her past the Pneumonia but she does not want to eat. She had a very tiny heart attack but it did not cause any damage. Mom needs to go and relieve her sister so she can get some rest.

It sounds like Kirby has the same thing as Gandalf. FLUTD. Crystals in the urine that block his urethra. It is no fun. Gandalf has been on prescription food since his diagnosis. Mom was thrilled last week to find a store brand that saves her $1 a can! That is a lot, when you multiply that by 3 male cats!
Crystals or maybe just a UTI. I hope it's not major and he feels better and can pee soon. Our paws are crossed for him and for your Grandmom, too...
Lots of worries for your mewmie there...hope everyone feels better soon. Oh, and purring releases endorphins that help a cat feel better, calmer and less anxious, too.

We hope Kirby's V~E~T visit goes well...please keep us posted!!! Also, hope your mom starts to feel better as well. Take all the time you need. We totally understand...
We are sending lots of purrs and prayers to both Kirby and your mom - we hope Kirby is ok and we hope that your mom can help her mom feel better. We know she is probably stressed out and adding Kirby in doesn't help. We hope it is something that is simple to take care of and that he is home quickly!
We will purr for both Kirby and your Grandma too!
Oh, so much going on. We're sending strength to your sweet mom and keep our paws crossed for both the Grandma and Kirby to feel better soon.
We hope Kirby soon feels better. When I was younger, I got cystitis 2 or 3 times and that is exactly what I used to do. I had antibiotics to clear it up.
FlynWe are sending purrs for Kirby and your Gramma.
Kirby, dude what's wrong? Go get your parts checked out.
We're sending purrs for your Gramma.
We hope both Kirby and your mom's mom will be okay. Get well purrs and tail wags to both of them.
I hope the vet can give you some meds to help the kitty box issue.
I also hope your Mom feels better soon.
Oh noes Kirby!! I am so sorry that you is not feeling the best right now.
We don't only purr a cause we are happy, we purr when we is very stressed also.. I do not know why?
And we lick ourselves when we is hurty, so any extra licking means it hurts.
We sure hope that you feel better real quick and will be purring for that!
We will also be purring for your momma, I thinks she needs just as many, it's horrible when hoomans just don't want to be here any more :(
lots and lots of purrs coming to your home of healing and comfort :))
Spider and Smudge are purring for you. We know you will 100% real soon.
Sound like Kirby might have a UTI...we hope he is feeling better soon...and we hope your grandmom is feeling better soon too...
I'm sorry to hear about all these troubles in your family. When an elderly patient becomes depressed, they often lose the will to live. I sure hope she gets the right treatment to help her.
I also hope that there's nothing very much wrong with Kirby. Hopefully, there's a simple solution.
Take care.
We hope both Kirby and your mom get better soon. Good luck at the V-E-T.
We were concerned as soon as we read your description of Kirby's behavior. We recognized it as trouble and are glad you took him to the v*t ASAP.
Sending healing vibes and purrayers to Kirby and your human grandmom...
We also are sending purrs and prayers hope everything goes well for both please keep us poster
SORRY POSTED
Hope your grandma gets all better soon, and your mom takes care not to get too tired.
Oh dear we send our purrs and prayers! We hope that Kirby is ok. Sandusky used to do that when he had urinary blockage! It happened a several times over a couple of years. He had to stay at the vet and had to have a tube. The vet kept changing his diet. Now he is on WD and hasn't had anymore problems recently. What did the vet say?
Also, we hope your mom's mom is doing ok.
We hope that Kirby is okay and the vet visit wasn't too bad. We're sending purrrrrs to him.
We're also sending purrrrrs to your mom's mom (and your mom) that all will be okay with her too.
Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew
I hope your v-e-t visit went well, Kirby, and that whatever is wrong can be fixed easily. Herman is sending you and your Grandma his best healing purrs.
Oh Kirby......we are glad you are ok now, and just catching up. I purr a lot when I am not feeling well too, so that is probably what you were doing. Only difference is I purr a lot all the time.
We hope your mom's mom is going to be ok. We will send over lots of special healing purrs and hugs.
