Mom said I have the sharpest needles in the house. I show them to her and Dad often by standing up and putting my front paws on their leg and puncturing their leg!
It takes two vet techs to clip my claws so Mom does not even try. She got me an Emery Cat scratcher. At first I did not know what it was for. So Mom took my front paws and rubbed them on it to imitate scratching.
See how well I learned!
Mom: he has started using it properly!

Yep--I think you learned well!
Well, now that you are using it properly, I think you have earned an even bigger one! Gotta keep those claws groomed, right?
Our mom wants to know if that scratcher really is any good. She's read consumer comments that were both positive and negative, but more negative, including cats pulling their claws out entirely when using it. We certainly hope it works for you!

Kirby, can we tell you something a little bit funny? When we first saw the photo we though you were in the litter box. We hope this does not embarrass you too much.
That is a good idea if it saves you having clippy claws. My claws are like needles too, but they are not long. Mum lets me keep them sharp because she knows I like to climb trees.

Well good for you, but none of us here mind getting our claws clipped at all!
Our Mommy also wants to know if that works on your needles. We have a few "needlers" at our house.
We agree with DailyG; at first we thought you were in the litter box too! :-)
You are a great student!
We hope that scratcher helps keep your claws trimmed!!
