We have one out to the garage which is always open because that is where our litter box is. We also have one to the back patio, but that is only open when Mom lets us out for a few minutes in the morning and sometimes when she gets home after work.
Wait, 78 is polar? To me that is way to warm! You two would hate it at my house I guess - I have it set at 73 to save money over last year and I get hot and turn it down! Oh well, I guess everyone has the way they like it - think warm thoughts!
My, your kitties certainly are sensitive to the "cold"??? Since when is 78 degrees cold? I find that sweltering hot. I suppose it all depends on the temPURRature to which one has become acclimatized!
We keep ours at 75 or 76...mommy thinks that's polar and uses her hairy blanket she got from Wendy's auction to keep her warm when she gets goose bumps. I am so glad that your dear Shadow is feeling better. That makes us so happy... Love Miss Peach out on the hot patio
78? Our Mommy says that's still too hot (inside when it's really hot outside; that's fine for normal outside). If you guys think THAT is polar, you'd really freeze in our house. If we wanna warm up, we just go sit in the window where the sun shines.
We like the warm too. Especially in the winter when our humans are ALWAYS having the wood-burning stove on! That's the BEST! Sometimes, we lay there for so long our mom thinks our brains are gonna melt!
78 is too hot for me! LOL! When it's 78 outside I hope for a breeze, otherwise I try not to go out, except briefly and in the shade! You have very hot blooded moggies! LOL!

We wish our house was as cool as 78. It's been in the high 80's here (inside), and in the high 90's outside.
